Modalert or Provigil is the brand name for Modafinil.

Modafinil can be taken by adults who suffer from narcolepsy, severe fatigue symptoms or sleep-wake disorders.

Modafinil works by restoring neurotransmitters activity within the brain and spinal cord. Is a CNS stimulant similar to the amphetamine group but has less potential to cause abuse and dependence.
